The day of the week

TEXT can show a date in many ways. Its date codes include:

dddd Monday, ddd Mon, mmmm October, mmm Oct, yyyy 2026, dd 05.

In cell D2, show the day name of the date in A2 with TEXT and "dddd".

Month and year

In cell D2, show A2 as the month name and year, such as October 2026, with "mmmm yyyy".

Fixed decimals with FIXED

FIXED rounds a number to a set number of decimals and adds thousands separators, giving text.

In cell D2, show B2 with 1 decimal place using FIXED.

Currency text with DOLLAR

DOLLAR turns a number into currency text with two decimals.

In cell D2, show B2 as currency text with DOLLAR.

Try it in a real spreadsheet

Every step checks your answer instantly and tells you exactly what to fix.
