What you'll practise

  1. Sort by sales, largest first Hands-on
  2. Sort names from A to Z Hands-on
  3. Show only one region Hands-on

Sort by sales, largest first

Sorting reorders a table while keeping every row together, so each rep stays with their own sales figure.

Click any sales figure in column C, then click Sort Z→A on the toolbar to put the largest first.

Sort names from A to Z

Sort A→Z puts text in alphabetical order and numbers from smallest to largest.

Click any name in column A, then click Sort A→Z on the toolbar.

Show only one region

Filtering hides the rows you don't need without deleting them, so you can focus on part of your data.

Click a region in column B, click Filter, tick only East, then click Apply filter.

Try it in a real spreadsheet

Every step checks your answer instantly and tells you exactly what to fix.
